Oil recovery is achieved by the continuous rotation of a hub that is vertically positioned and partially immersed in the liquid. The spilled oil adheres to the surface of the hub as it rotates and is lifted out of the water. The oil is then scraped off by scraper blades located on the side and front of the hub. The scraped oil flows into a collection trough, where it is subsequently pumped away, thus accomplishing the goal of oil recovery.
The oil recovery machine consists of a skimmer, a power station, an oil transfer pump, and a pipeline system. During operation, the skimmer is placed on the water surface, while the power station is located on the shore or on a boat, connected by the pipeline system. The skimmer features a hub made of 304 stainless steel with a specially treated surface, which provides a higher recovery rate and a smaller size and weight. The skimmer can be configured with single or multiple hubs connected in series or parallel, each driven by a hydraulic motor. Each hub is equipped with multiple scraper blades that remove the adhered oil and direct it into the oil collection trough. The recovered oil is then pumped away through the pipeline at the bottom of the trough. The hub assembly is mounted on a corrosion-resistant stainless steel housing, and the buoyancy of the hub itself keeps the entire skimmer afloat, ensuring good stability in the water.
